US President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House on Tuesday that he is considering a visit to the Middle East after the hostages are returned. He also stressed that the hostages would not have survived without pressure and cooperation to facilitate the deal, PTI reported.

“We’re thinking about going to the Middle East. But the hostages are coming back now, so they’re not back yet,” Trump said, along with Oracle CTO Larry Ellison, SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son, and Open AI CEO Sam.・The announcement was made at a joint press conference with Mr. Altman at the White House.

He also commented on injuries sustained by hostages released as part of a US-brokered ceasefire and hostage exchange deal between Israel and Hamas.
“Some of them are very damaged. You look at a young lady whose hand was about to get blown off… You know how that happened, right? When you found out that “I can’t be too happy because it was so bad. But the hostages are starting to come back,” he said.

The agreement was made in the waning days of the Biden administration, but President Donald Trump has said that without his advocacy, the hostages may never have returned.

“If I hadn’t been here, they would never have come back. They would all have died… If you go back just six months ago, many of these young people were alive — you know. Yes, young people don’t die like that. But now they’re dying. And you wonder why they’re dying.” President Trump said.
President Trump also blamed the Biden administration for delaying the deal.
“If this had been done a year earlier, if (Joe) Biden had made this deal a year and a half ago, two years ago…October 7th should never have happened, frankly. “Biden couldn’t get it done,” he said. “It was only after he imposed it as a deadline that he was able to get it done.”
