WhatsApp will soon be linked to Meta’s other social media platforms, including Instagram and Facebook. Mark Zuckerberg’s company is working to create a seamless ecosystem that synchronizes all three. Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook. In a post, Meta announced that it is considering integrating WhatsApp into its account center. The change will be rolled out globally “in the coming months” and will allow WhatsApp users to share status updates across Instagram and Facebook, as well as single sign-on.

According to Meta, WhatsApp Links will not be activated automatically, so it will be up to the user to choose whether or not to connect WhatsApp to their Account Center. If you decide to do so, Meta will use your WhatsApp data to “offer, personalize, and enhance our products and services, including displaying advertising,” as explained on the update’s help page. I will.

Additionally, it further ensures that chats and calls remain end-to-end encrypted even after users choose to link their WhatsApp account to Account Center.

Meta added in its blog that it is working on several such features that will work across its apps. For example, avatars, meta AI stickers, and the ability to manage your Imagine Me creations will soon be accessible in one place.

meta account center

Launched in 2020, Meta’s Account Center is a central hub where users can manage and link their accounts across various Meta platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. This allows you to control settings related to profiles, login credentials, and preferences for cross-platform features such as content sharing, messaging, and notifications.

The purpose of connecting apps to Account Center is to streamline your experience and allow you to manage your social media accounts from one place.

How to connect to Account Center

Once you have updated WhatsApp to the latest version, go to the settings menu. Here you have the option to add your account to Account Center. If it’s not available, it may not have been rolled out in your region yet.

To link your account, tap the option, follow the instructions, and log in using your Meta account credentials when prompted.

As soon as this feature goes live, you’ll also need to set up a way to share updates, such as enabling WhatsApp status posts on Facebook and Instagram. If you want to stop using this feature, go back to your settings and unlink WhatsApp from your account center.
