In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Sivakarthikeyan admitted that he had issues with certain people, but said he had no complaints about the industry itself. Despite these challenges, he remains passionate and determined to continue his acting journey. He said he never wanted his struggles to affect his family as he aims for them to live a normal and orderly life. Sivakarthikeyan said there was no point in putting pressure and financial hardship on his wife, in-laws and children. He was determined to live for them and find a way to overcome the hurdles. As an MBA graduate, he decided to find a way to overcome these challenges.
The actor revealed that his wife Aarti’s encouragement played a pivotal role in his decision to stay in the industry. “She told me, ‘You had nothing and you came this far. For the last 20 years, after Ajit (Kumar) sir and (Chiyaan) Vikram sir, I was an outsider in this industry. No one has ever been as successful as her. And you have achieved it. This is no easy feat. She has also enjoyed the benefits of my stardom. I said I could handle it,” he added.
Sivakarthikeyan also spoke about the hostility and challenges he faced while establishing himself in the film industry. The ‘Aya Raan’ actor said that while some hailed his path from ‘common man’ to successful actor, others questioned his standing within the industry and asked, ‘Who are you in this industry?’ Especially in the past. Despite enduring significant hardships for five years, Sivakarthikeyan remained graceful and chose to move forward without confrontation. He said his success doesn’t mean hitting back at the critics, but celebrating the hard-working film team he’s worked with, his devoted fans, and those inspired by his story. He emphasized that
On the work front, SK’s last film was Rajkumar Periasamy’s biopic ‘Amaran’. The film also featured Sai Pallavi in one of the lead roles and the story revolved around Major Mukund Varadarajan, an officer in the Rajput regiment of the Indian Army. The film received positive reviews and became a blockbuster hit.
