Kanye West is not one to be silent or hold back from expressing what’s on his mind. Once again he proved this to us. This time, he criticized Adidas after Google excluded the rapper’s Yeezy website from search results.
In his signature style, Ye shared a screenshot on his Instagram account showing the Adidas website at the top of Google’s search results. In a lengthy caption, he said that when someone searched for “Yeezy.com,” the German sportswear website appeared before his site.
He addressed members of Adidas directly, asking them to “stop” the “movement” that is trying to hold him back. Reflecting on their previous partnership, the rapper said their collaboration is over, pointing out that Adidas is the $60 billion company that allegedly “frozen” the Flushing Lights vocalist’s account.
She also wrote, “Now I’m back on my feet (no pun intended). I’m not going to stand for this (again, no pun intended).” The Heartless rapper claimed he did an exceptional job at Adidas, but when he stood up for himself, the company allegedly tried to intimidate and oppress him. He added that everyone was aware of the long-standing issues with his brand regarding “theft and suppression of designs that predate Tweet.”
You didn’t stop there. According to HYPEBEAST, he also named designer Jerry Lorenzo, who reportedly signed a collaboration deal with Adidas through his brand Fear of God.
The rapper criticized Adidas for working with Lorenzo on how he allegedly treated him, calling it “stale and dishonest.” He noted that he still attended Lorenzo’s show, claimed it was a copy of his Hollywood Bowl show, and said he was a “so-called big man.” However, Ye said he would no longer do that to anyone.
The veteran rap artist wrote: Everyone who’s ever had a photo taken next to me with their own clothing line or purpose is trying to promote their own weak fake Yeezy line as if they were my friends. I know you were acting like that. They never wanted to truly work for the king. ”
The Stronger Rapper continued, “They wanted to take advantage of the King, to get paid more than anywhere else, to be a yes-man, to prevent me from achieving what ‘we’ were striving for.” I wanted to be happy whenever I did. Now they are exiled. No more hugs needed. Easy in everything. I’m not here as a platform for anyone else. As always, I’m here to rule. Yeezy’s $20 price burns out the game and all that’s left is Yeezy. We all know that the cost of luxury fashion has risen considerably. I shouldn’t even have worn Prada glasses. ”
West also noted that his website made $100 million last year, even though it was only up for six months. He explained that he shut down the website after six months in order to regain control of his Shopify account. He also claimed that someone tried to make him believe that he could not achieve success on his own.
Ye shared that they ultimately sold more than 1 million pairs of pods and have been working on 10 additional styles over the past two years.
The artist concluded the caption by writing: Everything else was in the way. As always, if there are any grammatical mistakes, please rewrite them in the comments. Update. thank you. “
