OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R will be launched in several global markets including India on January 7th. The design, color options, and some key features of the upcoming phone have already been revealed. The company is now introducing official protective case options for mobile phones. These cases will now support magnetic wireless charging. Notably, the flagship OnePlus 13 was announced in China last October, and the OnePlus 13R is said to be a rebrand of the OnePlus Ace 5, which was launched in China on December 26th.
OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13R official magnetic case
OnePlus Ireland has listed the upcoming global versions of the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R and revealed the official protective case that supports magnetic wireless charging. Both phones have the option of a Sandstone magnetic case, which may have a sandpaper-like textured finish.
The OnePlus 13 also comes with a woodgrain magnetic half-pack and an aramid fiber magnetic case. The former is expected to have a wood-like design, while the latter is expected to be made of thin but durable material.
Notably, a tree-inspired protective case for the OnePlus 13 that supports magnetic wireless charging is available in China.
OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13R India variant features
The Indian versions of OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC respectively. The base OnePlus 13 is said to meet IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Both devices will be launched in the country with a 6,000mAh battery and support for AI photo editing and note-taking features.
The OnePlus 13R comes in Astral Trail and Nebula Noir colors, while the OnePlus comes in Arctic Dawn, Black Eclipse, and Midnight Ocean colors. The phone is confirmed to be available for purchase in the country through Amazon alongside OnePlus India’s website.
