Smart storage solutions for compact homes

Storage can be a concern in a tiny home, but smart technology can help. Sonali says, “Use automated storage systems that can be adjusted or retracted so you can create more space when needed. For example, modular wardrobes with hydraulic beds or electric shelves can be used to improve practicality. ” She further added that she also chooses bespoke furniture that is affordable and works as per the needs of Indian households.

Seamless smart lighting system

Flipping a light switch is now a thing of the past, as a variety of smart lighting systems take convenience and efficiency to the next level. Sonali explained how smart lighting systems have advanced beyond voice control. She suggested, “Consider motion-sensor-enabled lighting that adjusts brightness based on natural light levels and occupancy.” Layered lighting (ambient, task, and accent) can be installed and controlled through the app or smart hub. She explained that this caters to both functionality and mood enhancement.

Studies have shown that homeowners can save up to 10-15% on heating and cooling costs simply by switching to a smart thermostat.

Additionally, she advised “integrating climate control and automatic blinds to optimize natural ventilation and light while minimizing energy consumption.”

To further enrich the ambience of these sacred spaces, Sonali added automatic lighting that adjusts to different prayer times, incense diffusers set on timers, and soft prayers activated by voice commands. suggested using music from She also advised incorporating natural materials like wood and marble to maintain the traditional beauty of the mandir. Make sure smart technology is carefully integrated.

Finally, it’s important to be mindful of how you incorporate smart technology into your home. Sonali pointed out the need to avoid overcrowding spaces with technology and instead focus on integrating smart technology that complements the overall design and practicality.
