President Donald Trump’s former deputy White House press secretary was asked on Fox News Monday about reports that the president-elect is tired of all the attention Elon Musk is getting.

Mediaite earlier reported, citing people close to the Trump transition, that the president-elect is tired of the omnipotence of his billionaire allies. “Mr. Trump is 100% frustrated,” a Trump official told the site. “There is a Chinese proverb that says, “Two tigers cannot live on the same mountaintop.”

FOX News chief correspondent Jonathan Hunt told Hogan Gidley, who was also the Trump 2020 campaign’s national press secretary, that the president-elect “may be a little irritated” with the attention he’s commanding through Musk’s speech. I asked him about the reports, which he said were “a little disgusting.” Social media platform X.

“Oh, look, it’s clear that people like Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have a good relationship with Donald Trump,” Guidry countered. “The media likes to stir things up and try to create cracks where there aren’t any.”

“Donald Trump has given Elon Musk a huge task and that is to find a lot of fraud, waste, and abuse within the federal government. We believe he can absolutely accomplish that. ” he added.

“The leader here is Donald Trump,” he claimed. “He’s assembled a team around him to do it, and they’re all friends of his. They’re all working together.”

President Trump has appointed Mr. Musk and Mr. Ramaswamy, a wealthy entrepreneur and former chief Republican rival, to head a new unofficial Department of Government Efficiency that is supposed to cut public spending.

Musk, who spent more than $200 million to elect Trump, has dominated headlines and exerted significant influence since the election, leading to speculation that he could be Trump’s “co-president” or “shadow president.” It has led to ridicule.

President Trump addressed the commentary earlier this month, calling the accusations a “hoax” and saying, “That’s not happening.”
