Palantir and Anduril launch AI consortium to strengthen U.S. national security

Palantir Technologies and Anduril Industries have entered into a strategic partnership to create a consortium aimed at advancing artificial intelligence capabilities for U.S. national security. This effort addresses two key challenges: data preparation and processing at scale. U.S. defense data, often collected by sensors, vehicles, and weapons at the tactical edge, is currently underutilized for AI training, creating opportunities for the U.S. to leverage its technological advantages. I’m missing out. Anduril’s Lattice software and Menace devices facilitate the secure collection and retention of this data, ensuring its availability for AI development. Meanwhile, Palantir’s AI Platform (AIP) provides the infrastructure needed to process this data at scale, enabling AI capabilities to be efficiently and securely deployed across defense systems.

The Palantir and Anduril collaboration aims to combine advanced edge-based mission autonomy with cloud-based AI management to provide seamless integration from the edge to the enterprise. This will enhance decision-making in joint defense missions and improve real-time deployment of AI models. Both companies emphasize the need for a team of industry leaders to maintain the U.S. government’s technological advantage in the field of AI for national security.
