Former President Pranab Mukherjee’s daughter Sharmista Mukherjee said the Congress party was in a “sad situation” and called for “serious reflection”.

“Congress has to answer for this. All I can give is the facts. But I would like to add one thing: I don’t know if it was intentional or if it was pure negligence. “What are the conventions of such a great old political party?” she asked.
“If institutional memory is lost and Rahul Gandhi and those around him do not know how the Congress acted in earlier situations, that in itself is a serious and sad situation within the Congress.” she added.
Earlier, in a post on It was a complete nonsense and I later learned from Baba’s diary that at the time of KR Narayanan’s death, the CWC was called and the eulogy was drafted only by Baba.

“The words used against me and against one of our tallest leaders, like my father, show that Congress is truly corrupt,” Mukherjee said.
“Instead of unleashing trolls on social media, the Congress should do some serious introspection as to why someone like me, who believed in die-hard Congress ideology, feels alienated from the party today. ” she added.
Mr Mukherjee’s statement came after the Congress CWC convened a special meeting to pay tribute to former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on Friday.
“Dr. Singh embodied the best qualities of a true statesman: compassion, integrity, and a deep dedication to public service. It was a living example of how coexistence is possible,” the CWC resolution said.
At the memorial line
Mr Mukherjee declined to comment on the controversy over installing a memorial to Mr Singh, as he is not a party member.
“I think the demand to erect a monument to Manmohan Singh is completely justified. He was the architect of India’s economic reforms, the father of India’s growth story and twice served as Prime Minister. Therefore, the demand for a monument in his honor is fully justified. Also, on behalf of the common people of India, I request Mr. Bharat Ratna to replace him, he fully deserves it. ” Mukherjee said.
