Republicans are demanding the release of a list of Congressional sexual swindlers. On Thursday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Rep. Thomas Massie, along with former Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, called on Congress to release the names of members of Congress who have used tax dollars to settle sexual harassment lawsuits.

Republican leaders demand release of “Congress’ sexual slush fund list”

“Congress has secretly paid more than $17 million of your money to quietly settle accusations of harassment (sexual and other forms) in Congressional offices. Do you think I should go public? I do,” Massey wrote to X. Former Reps. Mo Brooks and Jason Chafetz quickly tweeted their support for him.

The Kentucky lawmaker’s proposal was supported by Greene, who wrote: I want to publish the list of sexual secret funds in Congress. “Taxpayers never had to pay for it. Along with all the other garbage, they don’t have to pay for it,” the lawmaker added.

The $17 million figure over 20 years is misleading. Includes cases involving allegations of discrimination, retaliation, labor law violations, and contract and pay disputes. Moreover, according to factcheck.org, this number doesn’t just pertain to members of Congress.

Gaetz last week floated the idea of filing a “privilege motion to expose all ‘me too’ settlements paid using public funds.” According to the Daily Beast, in November, Greene said “all ethics reports and allegations, including the one I submitted,” should be made public.

“All of your sexual harassment and assault allegations were quietly settled at the expense of the victims with taxpayer money. Jeffrey Epstein’s entire file, tapes, recordings, and witness interviews,” she said. added.
