CM Yogi Adityanath hailed Atal Bihari Vajpayee as a “symbol of good governance and inclusive politics”. Reflecting on Vajpayee’s political career, he emphasized that irrespective of political divides, Vajpayee remained true to his values and principles and worked tirelessly for the country. “Atal Ji’s leadership has set high standards for future generations and his belief that ‘politics without principles is a rope of death’ is a guiding principle for all politicians.” said the CM.

Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak spoke about how Vajpayee, despite his poetic nature, ensured India’s security by conducting nuclear tests during his tenure. He emphasized that Vajpayee’s legacy continues to inspire future generations, both through his poetry and his abilities as a statesman.
Kumar Vishwas captivated the audience with a powerful recital that included a moving song about Lord Krishna’s return to Vrindavan after the Mahabharata. His lines were, “Mathura choti, choti dwarika, Indraprastha thukran. Bansi choti, gokul chota, kab tak chakra uthaon,” which drew thunderous applause from the audience.
