OpenAI is giving users a new way to converse with the viral chatbot 1-800-CHATGPT.
OpenAI said Wednesday that users can “try it out easily, conveniently and at a low cost through familiar channels” by dialing its U.S. number (1-800-242-8478) or sending a message via WhatsApp. said. The company initially said callers would get 15 minutes free each month.
This news comes following a slew of updates from OpenAI as part of a 12-day release event. The most notable announcement was the official launch of Sora, OpenAI’s hot AI video generation tool.
OpenAI recently hired its first chief marketing officer and announced plans to increase advertising spending to grow its user base. In October, the company introduced search functionality within ChatGPT, making it more competitive with Google, Microsoft’s Bing, and Perplexity.
