Uttarkand’s Prime Minister Pushkar Shin Dami approved the rules based on the Unification Civil Code (UCC), and the parliament was on Tuesday (January 21, 2025), the 22nd Law Committee. He pointed out that it has been disbanded. Without submitting a report on UCC.
In a post on X, Gilam Ramesh, Chief of Communications, said that although the 23rd Legal Committee was announced, the actual configuration of the new committee has not yet been revealed. Ramesh asked why the Modi administration treats such a respected group with a “relentless attitude”.
Lamesh mentioned an advisory document on page 182 on the 22nd Legal Committee’s “Family Law Reform”, stating that paragraph 1.15 stated: The privilege is stripped in the process. This resolution of the conflict does not mean the abolition of all differences. Therefore, the committee has been dealing with discriminatory laws, rather than stipulating unified civil law at this stage. Most countries are currently heading to recognize the differences, and they do not mean discrimination just because there are differences, but also indicate strong democracy. ”
On June 14, 2023, the 22nd Legal Committee notified that the problem was to investigate the UCC again through a press statement after the issue was entrusted to the committee by the Ministry of Justice. However, Lamesh added that the 22nd Legal Committee ended on August 31, 2024 without ultimately submitting a UCC report.
“The 23rd Legal Committee was announced on September 3, 2024, but the actual configuration has not been announced yet. Why the Modi administration is especially respected by the Legal Committee, especially. He asked for such a delicate problem with such a relentless attitude? “He asked.
