It may have been six years since the last Avengers film, but Marvel is gearing up for two new team-up films that are as big as their predecessors.
Prior to that, Anthony Mackey’s Sam Wilson ultimately won center stage as Captain America in his own solo film, Captain America: Brave New World. When we sat down with Mackie, who plays Joaquin Torres and his co-star Danny Ramirez, talking about films in London, we asked about the double bill for the Avengers that was on our way.
“I’m really excited about the idea of old encounters. OG, the original cast members of the MCU, and all the new people that are coming together to form this massive conglomerate,” says McKee.
When Ramirez worries that his co-star accidentally slipped the spoilers in his answer, Mackie makes it clear that he doesn’t know what’s going on, but that makes him excited It’s about being – and as he reminds us all, the RDJ stood upstage, saying, “I’m coming back!”
“It’s just exciting and I hope that the idea of seeing new people, and the two worlds come together to create a super MCU,” adds Mackie. “It’s exciting. I see Deadpool and Wolverine (and) it’s ‘Are they there?” Do you know what I mean? I’m excited about it. ”
Alongside Mackie and Ramirez, Captain America 4 stars Harrison Ford as leaders, with President Ross (aka Red Hulk), Giancarlo Esposito, Sidewinder and Tim Blake Nelson.
Captain America: Brave New World will be hit in theaters on February 14th this year. Meanwhile, you’ll have a guide and marathon to check out all the other Marvel movies and shows that the MCU has, or watch Marvel movies.
