In a recent interview with Yahoo Finance, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff touted the company’s AI agents. But investors may not want to get too excited about those just yet.
Gil Luria, senior software analyst at DA Davidson, believes these agents are “not successful enough to drive revenue for a company that could approach $40 billion in revenue next year.” Masu. Luria said the pricing model for AI agents is still being developed, and Salesforce (CRM) is trying a different approach. “What Salesforce is currently proposing is a transaction-by-transaction model. It’s actually scaring customers because they don’t want success to be an issue. If users use this tool too much, Luria said customers will have to adapt to being charged on a per-transaction basis, and as a result, “will probably generate very modest revenue next year.” Suggests.
