The Supreme Taliban Minister, who has been supporting the ban on girls in Afghanistan, seems to have been forced to escape from the country.
At a graduation ceremony in the host state near the Afghan Pakistan border on January 20, Taliban Deputy Minister Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai criticized the government’s ban on secondary schools and high -education girls.
“There is no excuse for this. Not the future, not the future,” said Stanikzai. “We are unfair to 20 million.
“In the era of the prophet Muhammad, the door of knowledge was open to both men and women,” he said. “There was such an amazing woman, so if I explain their contribution in detail, it would take a long time.”
After the report that the speech and Stanikzai criticized him, Hibatula Affunzada, the highest leader of the Taliban, was said to have issued a tribute to the Minister’s arrest.
Stanikzai confirmed with a local media he left for Dubai, claiming that it was a health reason. Taliban was contacted for comments, but did not respond.
Since the acquisition of Taliban in 2021, the rights of women and girls in education, work, travel, and public places have been significantly reduced.
Last month, a prosecutor of the International Criminal Court demanded an arrest for the Supreme Leader and Afghanistan’s Supreme Court, because the persecution of women and girls in Afghanistan was a crime against mankind.
