“Sonic the Hedgehog 3,” the third repetition of the film franchise based on Sega’s persistent speedster, can be streamed on Paramount+ on February 18th.
The third “Sonic” feature picks up with a blue blur, seduces the fox’s tail and Echidna’s fingers, and works with his nemesis Dr. Robonik to assume the super-height threat of the Hedgehog’s shadow.
The film opened on top of North American box office in December, winning $60 million on his first outing and continuing to score as a high-ranking player throughout the holiday season. The fourth film is already in work for Paramount, which is due to be released in 2027.
“Sonic the Hedgehog 3” is directed by Jeff Fowler. The film’s cast members’ deep benches include Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, Keene Reeves, Idris Elba, Colleen O’Sherney, James Marsden, Tika Sampter, Lee Majidub, Kristen Ritter and Adam Parry. , Natasha Rothwell and Shemar Moore.
Variety’s chief film critic Owen Greiberman described the film as “a parody of the epicity of what a superhero movie became.” It’s like a late Marvel celebration that never loses sight of the fact that it’s ridiculous,” he wrote in his review. Greiberman also called Fowler the “real star” of the film and praised his “shape-changing filmmaking,” which was enough to skewer the excesses of the blockbuster. “It’s so clever,” praises Carrie, “We’ll explain in detail how to give an epic performance. Topped with everything he’s done in these films.”
