Mumbai and Pune Sky Watcher have a unique opportunity to witness the International Space Station (ISS) tonight without special equipment. The ISS starts at 7:23 pm and moves across the sky.
By 7:28 pm, it will be the third bright object in the sky after the moon and Venus in the west. “For about two and a half minutes, ISS is 10 degrees above the horizon,” said Arvind Paranjpye, the director of Mumbai’s Neloo Planetarium.
To increase the possibility of finding it, look at the northwestern part and use binoculars if possible. The weather is essential because the pollution in the city can reduce the visibility.
This is also a fun opportunity to ride Snita Williams and her friends astronaut! You can also capture Selfie with ISS before returning to the earth through the SPACEX DRAGON capsule.
ISS, which is a tremendous human engineering, goes around the earth and functions as a hub for scientific research in micro -gravity. Such a witness is rare, so if you are in Mumbai or Pune, don’t miss this opportunity.
