Nancy Mace targets Fox News host Trey Gordy with bizarre ‘toilet’ claim

Just this week, Republican Rep. Nancy Mace made the provocative claim that Fox News host and former Congressman Trey Gowdy may be secretly transgender.

The Fox News host posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Nancy Mace wouldn’t be in the House if it weren’t for Donald Trump. And can’t she vote the way he asked her to vote today?” did. Shortly after, Mace fired back online: “I have a message for Trey Gordy. You let Hillary Clinton go for Benghazi. Sit back.”

The congresswoman escalated the attack by posting an old photo of Gowdy from his time in Congress with the caption, “Which bathroom do you think Trey Gowdy uses?” This bargain appears to be in line with Mace’s opposition to transgender rights, specifically restricting transgender Congresswoman-elect Sarah McBride and her ability to use the Capitol restroom that matches her gender identity. It’s targeted.

Wesley Donahue leaves Nancy Mace over ‘selfish drama’

Wesley Donehue, CEO of a South Carolina political consulting firm, said he dropped Mace as a client several months ago. “I fired my client, Nancy Mace, a few months ago because I’m a political consultant, not a babysitter, not a sex therapist, not a doctor who can prescribe drugs to fix chemical imbalances.” he wrote.

“I don’t have time for her always selfish bullsh*t and the drama of her life,” he said, calling her remarks a “childish attack.”

So did Mace’s former communications director Natalie Johnson, who shared old footage of Mace praising Gordy on Fox News and called herself a “huge fangirl.” Johnson added: “It’s hard to be a picky eater.”

All of this is happening against a backdrop of growing unrest in the House of Representatives after Republicans failed to approve a government funding bill. The House recently rejected a slim Republican spending plan supported by Donald Trump and Elon Musk by a vote of 174-235. The bill would raise the debt ceiling until 2027, and all Democrats on the floor and 38 House Republicans voted against it.
